I’ve always been drawn to the parts of a city that are easy to walk past. The old brick, layers of paint, remnants of signs and posters, and all the little marks that build up over time. What Was Left came from wanting to paint those layers without cleaning them up too much. I wanted the wall to feel worn, imperfect, and like it has a history you don’t fully know.
